Ian & Michelle

We were so excited to host Ian and Michelle’s wedding, because they traveled all the way to CMRCC from Scotland for their ceremony and reception! Michelle and Ian’s love story all began when Michelle moved to Scotland and met Ian in Edinburgh back in 2009.  Guests travelled from near and far to come celebrate with them on this gorgeous October day. The couple had a lovely indoor ceremony which was then converted into the reception space. In typical Scottish fashion, Ian and his groomsmen wore kilts, as well as many of the guests.  Everyone enjoyed taking part in traditional Scottish dances, taking photos with the newlyweds, and of course, the ice cream bar!

Michelle and Ian’s wedding was very pretty and cohesive, with red roses and splashes of light green complimented the colors of the numerous kilts found at their wedding. The couple also chose mason jars wrapped with lace, which looked great with their color scheme! Instead of using traditional table numbers, Michelle and Ian named each table after a place that marked a special time in their relationship, like Fountainbridge, where Ian took Michelle on their first date.  Guests found their places and were able to read about why the street or location was chosen. We loved this cute detail!

As if their day couldn’t get any more perfect, they took their photos outside right when the most beautiful sunset appeared! Here’s a sneak peak of their special day!
