Highlighting Sarah and John’s wedding for wedding Wednsday! These beautiful photos are captured by the talented Nick Mantzel of ABM Photography.
From a Polaroid guest book, to light sabers, mad libs, and to DIY decor, Sarah and John had an epic wedding for their guests to enjoy and forever remember. Sarah and John was quite the crafty couple making their own decor. They used recycled wine bottles for table numbers and flower vases. A lot of of the bottles had their favorite quotes from songs and books. Some of the quotes came from songs from the Beatles and book quotes from Dr. Seuss. The couple placed mad libs on each guest place setting. This gave the guests to share their wedding advice, but with a funny twist! Check out Sarah’s dad mad lib.
One of my favorite moments from the wedding had to be the father/daughter dance and the mother/son dance. Sarah and her father had a choreographed dance that started with a slow dance, then danced to Grease lighting, then transformed to a hip-hop dance and back to a slow dance along with the song “My Girl.” It had everyone’s jaw dropping, smiling, laughing, and a huge applause at the end with how impressed everyone was. John didn’t start his dance off with him mom. He first came out with one of his groomsmen and battled each other with light sabers. Sarah and John’s mom broke up the battle and transitioned to the mother/son dance. It was very unique, fun and different! Another cool thing they had at the wedding was a Polaroid guestbook and wedding app! Instead of a guestbook everyone wrote in, all guests took a photo of themselves and scrapped booked it with a short message. The wedding app was a wonderful way of guests being able to share their photos with everyone.
Her wedding dress had pockets!
These meerkats were handmade by Sarah’s grandmother. She was not able to come to the wedding, but made sure to send her granddaughter a very special gift. These meerkats were pictured in all of the wedding festivities.
Thank you to all the wonderful vendors who made this wedding possible!
Chelsea Anne of Chelsea Ann Photography shared some wonderful photos she took from Mya & Elijah on her blog. It was such a pleasure working with Chelsea Ann. Check out her work below!
Mya and Elijah chose August 3rd, 2013 to become husband and wife. The day could not been more perfect being surrounded by their close family and friends. They had their ceremony at the San Rafael Catholic Church and reception with us. Mya chose neutral colors with hints of pink and oranges, which was perfect for a summer time wedding. My favorite moment from the wedding had to be the wedding games. It was a fun, interactive, and entertaining for the guests. One game the bride and groom were blind folded as they tried to figure out which one was their other half. They had about 3-4 contestants that they had to touch their shoulders and facial features. Mya tried to fool Elijah by wearing one of her guests blazer, but it didn’t fool Elijah! See all the highlights from their wedding below!
Here is a sneak peek of our lovely newlyweds, Thea & Craig, on their wedding day, November 10, 2013.
A great big shout out to Aptera Studios for sharing these with us. We can’t wait to share the rest of them!

Last Sunday, we had the pleasure of hosting Maribeth & Dave’s Wedding here at CMRCC. They were such a lovely couple to work with and I was so honored to be their coordinator for the day of their wedding. Our entire facility was filled with warm fall colors and clever fall themed décor to fit this pumpkin loving couple! Here are some pictures that I took on my iPhone of some of my favorite details from the day. Be on the look out for professional photos that I will post once we get them from the amazing photography duo from Ribbon & Rhyme Photography!

Rustic signs, leaf shaped stones and miniature pumpkins accented the wedding décor through out the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
A room shot with rich olive color chair sashes and beautiful floral centerpieces from Simply Adina Floral Design.
These pumpkin place cards were a great DIY idea that went perfectly with their color scheme and fall theme.
Our leather furniture paired perfectly with more gorgeous floral centerpieces and personalized mix-matched frames of family pictures from the past.
A shot of more family photos atop our grand piano. This is a fantastic idea to bring some personal and sentimental touches to your reception space!
Maribeth & Dave’s scrumptious wedding cake from Edelwiess Bakery went perfectly with the rest of their décor.
Guests were greeted at their reception seats by rustic themed menus and scratch-off lottery cards (the winner from each table won a gift card to See’s Candy!)
Maribeth & Dave’s guests were treated to a chocolate filled See’s Candy buffet
(significant in the couple’s love story as they both met while working together at a See’s Candy store 10 years ago!)
One of my favorite additions to their reception was a Trail Mix Bar where their guests could go to the bar and create their own bag of trail mix! It was decorated beautifully and went very well with their rustic fall theme!
My favorite personal touch from Maribeth & Dave’s wedding was their caricature artist. This is a great idea to bring live entertainment for a cocktail hour or reception for all to enjoy.
Before their wedding, the happy couple had their caricature artist draw a picture of them to use for guests to sign in lieu of a guest book.
Hope you enjoyed a sneak peek into this fall themed wedding.
Shout out to the vendors we worked with during the day to make this delightful wedding possible:

This past Sunday, we hosted a 90th birthday party for the fabulous Cristeta, or Lola as she’s called by many of her loved ones. Lola looked beautiful in her glamorous, sparkly gold dress as she walked around to chat with her family and friends throughout the event.
Here are a few pictures I took from my phone during the event:
The table was filled to the brim with Lola’s favorite sweets and treats, like red velvet cake cupcakes, chocolate strawberry cake, cookies and more. Putting everything on risers, cool jars, and in buckets was a great idea that we loved!
So where’d she get most of these super adorable decorations? Oriental Trading Company!
This event was full of entertainment, with toasts and a slideshow of memorable photos. The highlight of the night was during dinner service, when different groups performed dance routines, much to Lola’s delight.
